At LLS, we are driven everyday to fight blood cancers and find a cure.

As the largest funder of cutting-edge research, we are doing more than any other cancer non-profit organization to fund today's most promising blood cancer research.

Our goals:

  • Reach out to patients and their families within 90 days or less of diagnosis.

  • Offer patient and caregiver support, financial assistance, education services and more.

  • Fight for life-saving policy changes at the state and federal level to ensure access to quality, affordable, coordinated health care.

If you don't know someone who has already battled cancer, chances are you will.

One person with cancer is one too many.

One in every two American men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.

And, for women, it's one in three.

Blood cancers are the third-leading cause of overall cancer-related deaths.

They are the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in young people under the age of 20.

Across the nation, more than 1.2 million people in the U.S. are living with or in remission from a blood cancer. That's more people than the population of Portland, Salem and Eugene combined.
